5 years old
Personality: friendly, independent, shy, talkative
Monroe is looking for a loving, patient forever person or family to make him feel safe and allow him to be his true, squeaky, loving self. Monroe is a sweet, handsome, loving boy with the most adorable little meow that he uses freely when he wants attention. He is a previous CDCK Rescue kitty who was adopted as a baby but then returned by his owner after five years. He has been somewhat nervous since his return to foster care, but he is slowly coming out of his shell and clearly craving love and security.
Monroe likes his independence but also very much wants people around him. Once Monroe becomes comfortable with you, he will headbutt your hands and legs to get attention and love. He likes to have quiet places to nest when he needs some quiet time, but also likes to play with wand toys and chase around a ball from time to time.
Monroe is on daily medication for anxiety, which needs to be managed properly, and is looking for the right person to make him feel safe, loved, and happy, and give him a true forever home. Monroe just needs a minute to get used to the situation, and then he will just want to be your friendly, loving, chatty sidekick.
